Sensory Room

Other than running My Sen Den, we spend a lot of time in different hospitals across the North West with our children. Since Covid, Children’s Hospital waiting rooms have been very challenging. All toys and play areas have pretty much been stripped out and waiting is one thing our children struggle with. That’s why my visit today to Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital was a breath of fresh air.

Within the Outpatients waiting area there is now a designated quiet / sensory space for children who struggle in the main environment. A huge thumbs up from me and my little boy, it made the wait actually fun and helped to regulate him after the demand of the appointment.

If you require the space ask at the Outpatients desk when you check-in and they will guide you to the room.
