Inclusive Party Hire

What do we mean by inclusive parties?

Good question!!

When we set-up My Sen Den we had one thing in mind - making parties more inclusive for children with disabilities and additional needs. Why? truth be told - because we have spent the last 7 years with our children struggling to attend parties/ host parties and have suffered years of mum guilt. We have tried soft play parties / trampoline parties / entertainer parties you name it we have probably given it go in the attempt to give our children the opportunity all children have to celebrate their birthdays. The result - we have often been left with anxious, unregulated and generally distressed children.

A lot of “traditional” party formats are very overwhelming from a sensory perspective and don’t cater to the sensory experiences our children seek out.

So we created a more inclusive party package - what we mean by this is a package of sensory led experiences that our children seek, to stimulate their senses, spark curiosity and ignite engagement. Also some safe spaces and quiet areas to help them to regulate. Our party package will give them the opportunity to actually enjoy a party as it is packed with sensory toys designed to fulfil their sensory seeking needs.

Our My Sen Den Party Package can be hired to a large hall (you can hire church halls or scout huts for something in the region of £30-£45 for two hours) or your home (if it’s big enough as this is one heck of a package). Or you could hire 2 or 3 of our packages for a smaller party or just our Party Pod and Sensory Soft Play for a smaller gathering or a special occasion. There are lots of options to finally have a happy birthday.
